Today, I was watching a demo reel for a production company, and there was a sample from a piece they did that I found really, really hilarious.
Here is how I imagine the script looking:
INT. GENERIC SUBURBAN HOME
A lush, couch sits, lonely, its only companions being two, simple throw-pillows.
ANNOUNCER (V.O.)
Forget everything you know about slip-covers...
I immediately lost it.
Forget everything the media tells you because here it is: the unfiltered truth about slip-covers.
The ad was for a magazine that you could order slip-covers from, and it featured testimonials from people who say that slip-covers are a godsend considering their dirty kids. What are these parents doing? Are they using their couch in lieu of baby wipes?
Despicable.
